April 7, 2020. Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas. The American Red Cross helped expand the Bahamas Red Cross home meal delivery program to include more people put at risk to food insecurity due to the COVID-19 outbreak causing government implemented lockdowns and 24-hour curfews. Now the Red Cross has increased capacity to reach hundreds more people through the program which brings a hot meal to elderly, disabled, or single-parent households.
